WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2019, Surftember is all about surfing throughout the month of September. Surftember supports Surf Therapy and, no matter the disability or disadvantaged background, is dedicated to raising vital funds in an effort to help change lives for the better through the magical sport of surfing!

So far our Surftember fundraising efforts have amounted nearly 10,000 USD in aid of surf therapy.

FAQs

Q. Bodyboarding, is it even a thing? Does it count?
A. Here at Surftember we do not discriminate so, yes, bodyboarding is an adequate way to participate in Surftember.
Q. What about body surfing? Does it count?
A. Hmmm, that might be pushing it but if body surfing is your thing and you promote the cause then why the hell not!
Q. Does it matter that I suck at surfing?
A. Not in the slightest. It is all about participating. Plus, if you surf all 30 days you will definitely strengthen your game!
Q. What if there is no surf?
A. Who cares. Get in and go for a paddle. Enjoy the water!
Q. How do we fundraise?
A. This year we will champion surf therapy and support the awesome A Walk On Water, The Wave Project and Waves For Change. All donations will be made directly to our GoFundMe page and then split accordingly and passed on to the respective charities. You can join our Surftember Fundraising team or donate directly by clicking here.
Q. Can I just surf and not fundraise?
A. You sure can. No one should feel pressure to have to fundraise. If you would like to make a small donation to the cause that is cool, otherwise, no worries.
Q. Can I use Surftember as an excuse to go surfing?
A. It has gotta be the best excuse ever, right!? Just make sure you only use it in September otherwise we will all be found out!
